A blog about a thesis I will never write.

Hi! You can call me Thowi. I love playing fun games over the Internet, like World of Warcraft®[1]

But that’s not what this blog is really about.

I’ve spent the last three years working on my masters degree in applied computing from the University of Central Arkansas located in Conway, Arkansas. While there, I conducted some interesting computer science research, and I learned a lot of data mining techniques.

But that’s not what this blog is about, either.

I’m going to call it a work of political satire, and just talk about a lot of things I noticed about Geek culture over the Internet. And it’s supposed to be funny. But I’m officially invoking my right to political free speech. And I may just have a few things to say about trademarks. And maybe some viral marketing with NLP.

But I dropped out of school just over a year ago. I have several good reasons for this, the best one of course being MONEY! YUMMY MONEY! OMG I just want to make so much Internet company money… Delicious!

So I’m also doing market research. I’ve got a kid, and a lot of student loan debt. What are you willing to pay me for interested blog reader? I’ve got some great ideas.

So welcome to my… Well still not sure what to call it. My blog. A place where I’m going to talk about whatever the heck I want. A combination of Blizzard®[1] fan site, job application, and political soap box. And maybe it’s some kind of weird market research, as well.

But the real purpose is to establish this new IP, whatever it may turn out to be, belongs to me and a friend of mine who helped me hash the idea out over the phone. It does not belong to my University, because all of the research took place after I dropped out, using my own personal equipment and my own free time. It’s worth a lot of money I think, because I’m going to one day write the best MMO ever.

If only I can figure out how to plug my brain into a computer…

But if you don’t think it’s funny, so sorry. But I’m getting busy to legally exploit some interesting computer science research, that started as a thesis. A thesis that I will never write.

[0] Free speech is a strong defense, especially in a blog about geek gamer and hacker culture. But if you feel I’ve taken your trademark name in vain, Email me and I’ll happily remove the actual use of your trademark. Or hire me, or something. 😉
[1] Used with permission I think. Not very good at this legal language stuff. World of Warcraft® is a registered trademark of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc.
